About the job Accountant - Manufacturing
To manage and maintain accurate financial records, oversee day-to-day accounting operations, and ensure compliance with statutory and corporate policies. The Accountant will utilize SAP for financial reporting, process optimization, and analysis, supporting the organizations financial health and decision-making in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of all SAP transactions related to procurement, inventory, production, and sales.

Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to validate cost of goods manufactured (COGM), stock movements, and inventory valuations.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations.

Assist in audits, ensuring all financial records are complete, accurate, and readily available.

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process compliance.

Provide financial insights and reports to management for strategic decision-making.

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and automate reporting within SAP.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3 to 5 years of accounting experience in the manufacturing sector.

Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO modules preferred).

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Professional accounting certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) is a plus.

Experience in SAP S/4HANA or cloud-based ERP systems.

Exposure to statutory compliance, taxation, and audit processes.
