The opportunity

You will work with UniSupers specialised internal investment team to develop strategies and advice that enables the Fund to maintain competitive investment performance for the benefit of members.

Overall responsibilities are to support Portfolio Analysis and Implementation in developing and implementing the investment strategies, as well as broader investment team & UniSuper group.
On daily basis, you will be assisting our investment teams in the management of:

  • Cash Flow Allocation & Exposure Management, including rebalancing process, funding of products and managers, cashflow projection model
  • Investment Research Activities with a focus on research into specific portfolio management topics and portfolio performance by undertaking quantitative and attribution analysis
  • Performance Measurement as well as the Funds crediting rate
  • In-House Trading and reconciliation of all trades
  • Portfolio Maintenance and Risk Control

About you
As an experienced Investment Analyst you'll have the opportunity to work with one of the best in house investment teams in the industry and will oversee implementation of all investment strategies that come out of our main asset classes. This involves liaising with our custodian, processing of trades and legislation requirements.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience within the superannuation and/or funds management industry particularly in the areas of performance analysis
  • Proven analytical ability and technical competence paired with quantitative analysis and data manipulation experience
  • A high level of investment analysis and/or research experience within investment markets and/or the superannuation industry
  • Strong problem solving and organisational capabilities
  • A high degree of numeracy and computer literacy
  • Self-motivation and attention to detail, paired with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably at a post graduate level
