  • The Project Controls SME has a primary objective to provide expertise across all phases of the project from Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCmV) related to all aspects of Cost , schedule , risk and change management associated with the execution of CAPEX projects.
  • The project Controls SME , aim to ultimately provide management with critical, decision-making information that ensures projects deliver on time and on budget.
  • The Project Controls SME will provide expertise to the client project team to: 1) ensure adequate definition of scope, cost, and schedule; 2) establish reasonable baselines; 3) identify and manage risk; and 4) track, monitor, and report project performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
    • Project Controls set up and execution support:
      • Implement a robust cost and schedule management program for assigned project(s).
      • Develop a project controls procedure for execution of site projects.
      • Development and reporting of integrated master schedules.
      • Development of cost estimates and budgets.
      • Establish reasonable cost and schedule baselines.
    • Change Management:
      • Review/ develop best in class Change management procedures for large scale CAPEX projects.
      • Implement change management practices and appropriately capture associated impact to cost and schedule.
    • Risk Assessment:
      • Implement a risk management tool to help capture and identify project risks, and ensure clear communication of findings and associated recommendations to mitigate these risks.
    • Reporting:
      • Develop dashboards to communicate audit/review findings regarding cost and schedule performance to management.
      • Implement a standardized suite of cost and schedule reports that enable senior management to make data driven decisions.
      • Perform trend analysis and actively evaluate project cost and schedule performance to identify potential risk areas, validate forecasts, and communicate those quickly to key stakeholders.
    • Other work as needed in support of successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • +10 years of experience in CAPEX project management, including planning/scheduling, cost control, change management: preferably in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industries. Ability to lead project controls effort within an operational area of the business to meet organizational objectives
  • Comprehensive understanding of Work & Cost Breakdown Structure and project Coding structures and ability to implement cost management work processes on projects.
  • Significant experience in schedule set up, baselining, monitoring and controlling on large scale projects across the all phased of EPCmV.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk and change management.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability in cross-functional environment.
  • Advanced MS Excel, Microsoft project and P6 capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
