Operations Readiness Planner

 Job Description:

Main responsibilities:

  • The Operations Readiness planner shall report to the PDP Project controls manager. The Planner, in conjunction with the PDP Controls manager and Client controls team, have a primary objective to support the engineering, procurement, construction and Commissioning (EPCmV) group in the planning, and execution of large scale CAPEX projects by providing management with critical, decision making information that ensures projects deliver on time.
  • Establishes and maintains the Operational Readiness Plan (ORP) for all operational activities in close cooperation with the workstream leads.
  • Obtains relevant information from workstreams and ensures activities of the different workstreams are appropriately connected and predecessors implemented in the ORP via common milestones. Provides information for progress reporting, and forward-looking planning.
  • Responsible for establishing the Operational Readiness Plan (ORP) by combining individual discipline schedules to an integrated plan, and establishing links between activities to reflect relevant interdependencies.
  • Coordinates workshops for collecting input from workstreams and translates this information from work plans to detailed schedules, including appropriate sequencing. Provide technical expertise and guidance for facilitating discussions during workshops.
  • Responsible for reflecting workload and manpower required for successful project execution in the integrated schedule ("manloader") to develop the forecast as a basis for staffing of all disciplines involved, including external parties.
  • Prepare the Ops readiness Integrated schedule contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports / presentations.
  • Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order.
  • During project execution acts as the owner of the integrated schedule and coordinates the information flow for progress reporting, and most importantly forward-looking planning and mitigation of impact caused by delays, resource conflicts or any other constraint. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in CAPEX / OPEX projects with roles in planning/scheduling: preferably in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Significant experience in schedule set up, baselining, monitoring and controlling on large scale projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk and change management.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability in cross-functional environment.
  • Software systems and packages including Primavera P6, MS Project etc.
  • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good Level in English, written and spoken.
