Position Title: Field Supervisor
Location: Madrid, Spain
Job Summary:
The Construction Field Supervisor for pharmaceutical facilities is responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities in compliance with strict regulatory standards (GMP, FDA, EMA). This role ensures that all work meets quality, safety, and validation requirements for pharmaceutical environments, including cleanrooms, HVAC systems, and controlled areas.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities for pharmaceutical facility projects.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements during construction.
- Monitor installation of critical systems (HVAC, cleanrooms, utilities) for proper qualification.
- Conduct inspections to verify adherence to design specifications and validation protocols.
- Maintain strict documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Enforce safety standards and conduct regular site safety meetings.
- Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, and validation teams to ensure seamless handover.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Report progress and issues to Project Manager and stakeholders.
Specific Knowledge:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, with at least 2 years in pharmaceutical or cleanroom environments.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, and ISO standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and validation protocols.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of English for reading, writing, and conversation (a plus).
- Fluent in Spanish (advanced or native level required).
