  7. 7+ Years experience in partnerships and product, across banking consumer brands etc. 

The role holder is responsible for innovating and evolving core credit card products and solutions to meet client needs that are best in class and to differentiate cards products from the market. The role holder is also responsible for the credit card product development and management process for UAE cards department.

Core Responsibilities

Product Management

Develops and manages strategies aimed at generating revenue through products in alignment with PBG objectives.

Provides guidance and support to client-facing professionals and sales teams to solve complex client needs through products.

Leads the effort to develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive product growth ensuring collaboration with the internal marketing team to ensure alignment with FAB brand.

Serves as a subject matter expert on enterprise level initiatives not specifically related to the assigned products.

Provides end-to-end solutions for all client segments resulting in superior customer experience.

Represents the bank in industry events/seminars/conferences in order to stay abreast of trends, client requirements, competitor intelligence etc. to drive product innovation.

Organizes client events in sharing the market best practices and constantly improve on the product offering.

Provides training to both internal as well as external clients about the product offerings ensuring knowledge transfer to facilitate product roll-out.

Performs and analyses competitive benchmarking of the products vis-à-vis competition and the market and review pricing of the products periodically.

Product Innovation and Development

Develops the consumer product strategies and value propositions of products in alignment with customer needs and market trends.

Oversees services/products and sub-product performance and leads development based on market trends and customer needs.

Develops and executes the product strategy to deliver consumer banking solutions to Consumer Banking customers.

Manages and enhances existing services solutions and helps develop and implement any required new product solutions for clients both in home markets and non-home markets.

Identifies product, regulatory, and competitive opportunities and challenges and proactively develops strategies to ensure that consumer banking products are competitive and meet the needs of clients.

Monitors and evaluates the evolving competitive and regulatory environments to ensure that products are competitive and meet clients needs.

Assists in the development of a strategic and tactical roadmap to enhance the products and services offered.

Collaborates with Relationship Managers and Direct Sales Agents in order to identify gaps and opportunities for product improvement in order to address customer requirements.

Participates in industry seminars and customer forums in order to stay abreast of trends, customer requirements, and competitor intelligence to drive consumer product innovation.

Partnership & Vendor Management

Evaluates, negotiates and manages external vendor contracts ensuring the provision of a cost-efficient service.

Manages multiple external vendor relationships ensuring the provision of a quality service in line with requirements.

Manages the on-going SLA and customer experience and conduct review meetings ensuring the service provided is line with agreements.

Evaluates and re-negotiates vendor pricing, periodically if needed to ensure is provided with a quality, cost-efficient service.

Product Innovation

Innovates existing proposition in line with the market and needs of customers to remain ahead of competitors and improve client retention.

Participates in industry seminars, client forums etc. in order to stay abreast of trends, client requirements, competitor intelligence etc. to drive product innovation.

Internal Collaboration

  • Maintains strong internal relations and collaborate with other products teams and heads of business in order to maximise cross-selling opportunities.
  • Develops service level targets and manages the coordination of the section with other departments to meet client service expectations.
  • Engages with key stakeholders including Operations, Technology, Credit, Legal, and Risk to deliver timely and effective level of client experience to our customers.

Product roll-out

Drives the commercialisation of new products and launch of new products and solutions, by recommending pricing, providing sales tools (brochures, tablets and online content) and training the sales team to ensure knowledge transfer resulting in successful sales.

Monitors product performance post roll-out and resolves any product issues or sales issues in order to ensure continuous product improvement.

Policies, Systems, Processes, & Procedures

  • Implements departmental policies, systems, and procedure so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality and cost-effective service.
  • Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices while considering international leading practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

MIS and Reports

  • Supervises and provides inputs in the preparation of timely and accurate sub-departmental statements and reports to meet FABs and departmental requirements, policies, and standards.

People Management Responsibilities

Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensure effective implementation of the FAB performance management process.
