Role overview:

Will provide support on the commercial cards portfolio growth across UAE and Oman market.

  1. Support the development of sales materials (e.g. client presentations, prospect emails, and other sales documents to facilitate prospect understanding of the product .)
  2. Identify and prioritize prospects lists by working with GPS business management to run reports for opportunities;
  3. Work closely with Corporate Client Relationship Managers and Corporate Coverage Leaders to successfully execute the sale of commercial card product;
  4. Lead sales discussions and pitch Clients products to end customers;
  5. Support operational onboarding of new customers, which includes working with implementation and back-office teams;
  6. Follow up with onboarded customers to ensure activation and usage including the first usage and ongoing usage;
  7. Review and recommend improvements to the performance management framework;
  8. Monitor results of onboarded corporate card clients and propose improvement measures to improve usage;
  9. Develop training manuals for the various stages of the sales cycle;
  10. Conduct periodic training sessions to the Clients sales force; to GPS Sales and coverage team as appropriate.
  11. Provide regular status updates to Clients management on progress against key performance indicators, through:
  12. Progress update meetings on a regular basis to Regional Head of Cards including reporting on performance
  13. Support to develop the materials for the Clients Steering committee meetings and where applicable support the presentation of these materials
  14. Use Mastercard assets and resources, when applicable, to deliver the support on the above-mentioned responsibilities.
  15. Provide support to develop a monthly and quarterly slide deck related to Business Performance along with updates on initiatives which are in scope of the SBOS resource
  16. Support the commercialisation of key solutions such as Conferma, Coupa, Wholesale Travel and other Mastercard Partnerships

The resource will fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Strong Commercial payments knowledge with 10 - 12 years experience in the B2B travel payments and financial services sector
  2. Robust understanding of B2B payments in the travel and hospitality industry (Travel management companies (TMCs), Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), bed banks, suppliers, airlines, hotels, etc.), including top global distribution systems
  3. Deep technical expertise in commercial payment products, service, or platform capability with emphasis on commercial cards and the ecosystem
  4. Strong understanding of the commercial and corporate cards business spanning different industries (Travel, Oil & Gas, Education, Government and Government Related Entities, etc. ) (required);
  5. Relevant experience in the selected geographic areas i.e. UAE market Relevant sales and business development experience in commercial cards (required);
  6. Proven project management skills (preferred);
  7. Strong team player, results driven and high level of energy & initiative;
  8. People management skills; and
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with ability to communicate in Arabic as a plus.
  10. Should be able to understand reporting and be able to guide business management teams to derive reporting outputs to identify opportunities.
