Role- Cards Systems Project Manager

Location- Dubai

Term- 12 months 

Division- Cards

Reports to- Head of Cards Technology

Relevant experience- 8-10 years experience in Cards Technology

Mandatory requirements- English (Arabic is a plus), Technical Cards System & Technology Project Management, Preferred: Knowledge of UAE local regulations and Consumer Protection Regulations, particularly in relation to digital onboarding processes


Tasks

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  1. Design, deliver, and execute projects related to a digital onboarding system for new cards acquisition.
  2. Act as project manager for strategic projects, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant SDLC processes including requirement gathering, developing functional specifications, process flow mapping, testing, and implementation.
  4. Resolve bottlenecks by involving relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Provide periodic updates to client management.
  6. Act as a bridge between technical team and Product/Business teams to ensure smooth implementation.
  7. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for implementation projects.
  8. Coordinate activities across technical teams, ensuring smooth execution.
  9. Monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively address issues.

Knowledge and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., project management, engineering, technology)
  2. 7 years+ of experience in project management, with a focus on end-to end project management of complex digital technology projects within the banking / payments domain
  3. Strong experience with Card Management Systems (CMS) and Straight Through Processing (STP)
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and manage project risks
  6. Experience managing schedules, and resources, with a focus on delivering projects on time to the required quality standards.
  7. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
  8. Strong understanding of the SLDC and operational elements of IT/Release management within a Banking domain
  9. Understand of IT infrastructure and systems integration.
  10. Understanding of all systems in a Payments architecture Card Management System (CMS), Payment Gateway, Core Banking Fraud Detection, Authorization, Clearing and Settlement and Network Infrastructure.
  11. Experience in coordinating with third-party vendors and IT teams.
  12. Preferred: Knowledge of UAE local regulations and Consumer Protection Regulations, particularly in relation
    to digital onboarding processes

Mandatory Skills**

  1. Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus),
  2. Domain experience in cards technology (especially straight through processing and virtual cards technology)
  3. Technical skills in project management
