Purpose of job:
To design and implement solutions that facilitate international transactions, collaborations, and operations. Lead the development and implementation of XBS with BCS. Provide support, guidance and expertise where required to ensure timely and effective implementation and deployment of the XBS product.
Tasks:
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Solution Design: Design and propose solutions that meet business requirements for cross-border transactions,
trade, and operations. - Architecture Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's
architecture and technology stack, with a focus on cross-border capabilities. - Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment
with organizational goals and strategies. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, product managers, and
technical teams, to identify and prioritize cross-border solution requirements. - Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure solutions comply with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards
for cross-border transactions, such as anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC). - Solution Implementation: Oversee the implementation of cross-border solutions, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve cross-border solutions, identifying opportunities for innovation, optimization, and cost reductions.
KPIs
- Solution Design Quality: Measure the quality of solution design ensuring they meet business requirements, are scalable and align with organizational architect.
- Technical Debt Reduction: Track the reduction of technical debt, ensuring that solutions are maintainable, efficient, and adhere to industry standard.
- Solution Implementation Time: Measure the time it takes to implement solutions, ensuring timely delivery.
- System Integration Success Rate: Track the success rate of system integrations, ensuring seamless interactions between different systems and technologies
Knowledge and Experience
- Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus on cross-border transactions, trade, and operations.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, finance, and trade, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Emerging Technologies: Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Mandatory Skills**
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in technologies such as APIs, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure), data analytics, and security.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, finance, and trade, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Proven leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement creative solutions.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or ITIL.
