Job Title: Technical Project Manager- Cards

Term: 12 months

Reports to: Head of cards

Relevant experience: Card payments, commercial card, MPGS, XB send, card
operations

Mandatory requirements: Based in Mauritius, 10 yrs experience in card payments business


Purpose of Job:

Client is a Mauritian conglomerate that is seeking to live with Mastercard products i.e. Principal licensing, Commercial debit card, commercial credit card, MPGS, XB Send. Client needs a resource to be able to manage technical implementation of these products and support go to market strategy of these products.


Tasks:

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Work with Mastercard, Processors and other relevant stakeholders to implement the above listed products
  • Project manage all activities related to going live with Mastercard products i.e. 
  • Develop full list of activities and dependencies that need to occur
  • Track activities and escalate any roadblocks
  • Coordinate within Mastercard teams, client and third parties to support completion of critical tasks
  • Support the client set up various processes and systems to run the card business efficiently
  • Train and up skill the client on relevant processes that need to be followed to run a card business (examples include, payments 101, reconciliation, settlement, billing, chargebacks, etc)
  • Oversee all aspects of projects.
  • Coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the project's progress.
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.

  • Mastercard payment gateway launched


Knowledge and Experience

Qualifications/ expectations required:

  • Proven working experience in project management.
  • Payment system Project management is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Payments experience acquiring and issuing
  • Commercial card issuing knowledge is a plus
