PURPOSE OF JOB

We are looking for a Data Analyst to support the successful execution of cross-functional initiatives across our client base. As part of our local APM team you will work with cross-functional teams to support clients in exploring, analyzing and visualizing data to generate and present valuable insights. 

Ideal candidates for this role have solid experience in data analytics and a strong understanding of data exploration, statistical methods, and reporting best practices. This includes hands-on expertise in SQL, Excel, data visualization tools, and statistical software such as SPSS/Modeler. You will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets, building clear and actionable reports, and collaborating closely with internal and client teams to support data-driven decision-making. 

Strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex findings into business insights are key to success in this position.


TASKS

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Contribute towards the delivery of engaging and value-added data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support aligned with business goals.
  • Develop clear and interactive data visualizations and dashboards to communicate trends and insights effectively.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear and concise findings, delivering presentations using PowerPoint and other business tools.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data sets for both ad hoc and recurring reporting needs.
  • Apply statistical methods using tools such as SPSS Statistics/Modeler to conduct deeper analytical assessments and support decision-making.
  • Work closely with client-side business analysis, development, and project management teams, as well as
  • Mastercards internal teams, to ensure effective coordination and alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Apply critical thinking to identify patterns, detect anomalies, and challenge assumptions in data interpretation.
  • Monitor performance metrics to generate proactive insights and improvement opportunities.
  • Support segmentation, forecasting, and testing activities through predictive analytics and data modeling.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data sources for reliable analysis.


Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a data analysis role or business intelligence role.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, data structures, and SQL-based data manipulation.
  • Proven experience in applying statistical techniques in a commercial or business environment.
  • Familiarity with predictive modeling, clustering, and advanced analytics methods.
  • Experience working with large and diverse datasets from multiple sources.
  • Prior experience with SPSS, Modeler, and visualization/dashboard tools is considered an advantage.
  • Skilled communicator who can simplify complex topics for a range of audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


Mandatory Skills*

  • Fluency in Greek and English is required.
  • Proven analytics skills, including evaluation, visualization and reporting of data.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and data transformation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business tools.
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas such as queries, reports, and presentations
