PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Remittance Expert - Payments to lead the analysis, design, implementation, and migration of remittances growth across domestic and cross-border payment rails. The candidate will function as the bridge between business stakeholders, operations teams, technology teams, and payment platform vendors to deliver payment transformation programs across large banking environments.

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Lead business analysis for remittance and payment transformation programs.
• Drive remittance and cross-border payment solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology.
• Provide payment domain expertise and ensure solution quality.
• Support strategic client engagements and payment modernization.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in banking, payments consulting, payment operations, or payments technology. Focus on remittances.
• Strong business analysis experience in payment transformation, payment migration, or core banking/payment-hub programs.
• Hands-on exposure to Tier-1 banks or major financial institutions, preferably in Saudi Arabia, UAE, or wider GCC markets.
• Proven experience with at least two of the following: SWIFT, ISO 20022, CBPR+, instant payments, RTGS, ACH, cross-border payments, treasury payments, payroll, or bulk payments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across business, operations, technology, vendors, and senior management.
• Technical & Domain knowledge: SWIFT MT messages, ISO 20022 MX messages, PACS, PAIN, CAMT CBPR + translation and validation.
• Payment schemes: SWIFT, SARIE, AFAQ, BUNA, IPS / instant payments, UAE NPSS, RTGS / local clearing.
• Platforms: Open Payment Framework (OPF), Payment hubs, Oracle Translator or similar translation tools, Inbound / outbound payments Payroll, bulk, API, and local transfers.

Mandatory Skills:

• A payments specialist with strong business and remittances experience, GCC banking exposure, SWIFT MT/MX and ISO 20022 knowledge, and hands-on involvement in payment-platform implementation or migration programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or the FinTech industry.
• Regional experience, including working in a faced-paced matrix organisation.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation); Arabic preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OPF - Open Payment Framework, payment hubs, or enterprise payment orchestration platforms.
• Experience with ISO 20022 translation engines, Oracle Translator, or equivalent mapping/translation tools.
• Exposure to banks such as Al Rajhi Bank, GIB, SNB, Riyad Bank, Emirates NBD, FAB, ADCB, or equivalent GCC financial institutions.
• Consulting or systems-integration background from firms such as Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, IBM, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, or similar delivery organizations.
• Ability to operate independently as a Payments SME while maintaining rigorous delivery documentation and governance discipline.
• Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
• An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
