PURPOSE OF JOB

Client requires the deployment of one (1) management-level commercial banking professional with 5-10 years of experience to support on Commercial sales. This resource will be responsible for engaging with clients. Commercial customers and merchants on solutions to move applicable business-to-business (B2B) flows onto card rails, leveraging the suite of Commercial products (i.e. credit cards and virtual cards).


TASKS

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop sales content (e.g. e-mail templates, script guidelines, etc.).
  • Identify and prioritize prospects lists.
  • Lead sales discussions and pitch Clients products (i.e. credit cards and virtual cards) to end customers.
  • Lead sales discussions and pitch Clients card acceptance solutions to merchants.
  • Support operational onboarding of new customers.
  • Follow up with onboarded customers to ensure activation and first usage.
  • Support operational onboarding of new merchants.
  • Review and recommend improvements to the performance management framework.
  • Monitor results and propose improvement measures.
  • Report results to Top Management.
  • Develop training manuals for the various stages of the sales cycle.
  • Conduct periodic training sessions to the Clients sales force.
  • Provide regular status updates to Clients management on progress against key performance indicators, through:

a. Progress update meetings.

b. Steering committee meetings; and

c. Regular reporting on progress status.

  • Leverage companys assets and resources, when applicable, to deliver the support on the above-mentioned responsibilities.

  • Financial Performance (card issuance growth, B2B flow growth)
  • Customer acquisition and engagement
  • Customer satisfaction and experience


Knowledge and Experience

Qualifications/ expectations required:

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Commerce
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in banking, more specifically card and/or acceptance
  • Strong understanding of the commercial and corporate cards business spanning different industries
  • Relevant sales and business development experience in commercial cards
  • Proven project management skills
  • Strong team player, results driven and high level of energy and initiative
  • People management skills and
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English with ability to communicate in Afrikaans as a plus.
