Role Mission: The Clean Team Member assists litter fosters during the hardest weeks of fostering. They give fosters a break from the endless cleaning after puppies, deep clean puppy areas to keep foster dogs healthy, and help socialize dogs to become loving family members.
Summary: The Clean Team Member assists litter fosters by bathing puppies, clipping nails, and cleaning the whelping pen. Volunteers must monitor Workplace for notifications and be comfortable traveling within the Greater Spokane Area. This role offers a chance to work with experienced team members, gain hands-on experience with puppy care, and enjoy early access to the puppies. Teenagers can participate with parental permission. All supplies are provided.
Rescue Mission: At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission.
Vision: Eliminating euthanasia of dogs in the South by decreasing the amount of dogs breeding unchecked. Becoming the number one dog destination in Spokane and capitalizing on Spokanes love of Rescue Dogs.

Job Description
The Clean Team volunteer role requires individuals to be available on an as-needed basis, with notifications sent via Workplace. When a cleaning request comes in, the entire Clean Team will be notified, and members available and willing will be asked to sign up for the cleaning job. Clean Team Members will support litter fosters approximately twice a week by assisting with various tasks such as bathing puppies and the mama, clipping nails, cleaning floors, and wiping down the whelping pen. Clean Team Members are encouraged to participate in duties they are comfortable with, and all necessary supplies will be provided. This position welcomes teens with parental permission. Clean Team Members must be able to travel to different locations within the Greater Spokane area. As team members will be entering foster homes, they will be expected to be respectful and helpful to the foster family.
As a Clean Team Member, you will work alongside experienced team members who will provide guidance and support to new volunteers. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to begin volunteering, gain hands-on experience with puppy care, and enjoy the added benefit of spending time with the puppies before they are available for adoption.
