Role Mission: Path of Hope does not have a building to house our foster dogs, therefore every dog must have a committed foster before we can transport a dog into WA. This person is responsible for finding appropriate placement for foster dogs within our program.
Job Summary: This person will match foster homes with foster dogs who need placement from a list of volunteer foster families. The perfect person for this role loves puzzles and spreadsheets. You will be given a list of dogs who need a foster placement and proactively reach out to get commitments from the families for a period of 2 weeks or 2 months. This person will work closely with our Foster Support Specialists.
Rescue Mission: At Path of Hope Rescue we save pregnant dogs and puppies in high kill shelters in the South.
Rescue Overview: Our Spokane, WA based Rescue strives to decrease the euthanasia rate of high risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We do not have a kennel or building location and are 100% foster based We currently have two paid employees and rely heavily on volunteers and fosters.
Vision: Eliminating euthanasia of dogs in the South by decreasing the amount of dogs breeding unchecked. Becoming the number one dog destination in Spokane and capitalizing on Spokanes love of Rescue Dogs.

Job Description

Encourages and empowers Case Managers
Communicates with Foster Pack leader regularly, escalates as appropriate
Acts as liaison to other areas of the Rescue as needed: Medical, Admissions, Behavior, and other Foster Specialists

Creative problem solving
Proactive and thinks about future concerns (upcoming placement needs)

Keeps databases accurate and up to date
Looks for patterns/issues that will affect other operations of the Rescue
