Role Mission: To lead and oversee the Social Media Squad for the Rescue, ensuring timely posts that highlight our mission, gathering team feedback to enhance engagement, and monitoring analytics to continuously improve our outreach and impact.
Summary: The Social Media Squad Lead is responsible for maintaining and managing all social media platforms, ensuring that content is consistently and accurately posted to reflect the Rescues mission and activities. This leader will guide the Social Media team, fostering collaboration and gathering valuable feedback, collaborating with the Digital Marketing Pack Leader and the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to successfully execute the Rescues overall marketing strategy. They ensure alignment with broader marketing goals while keeping a close eye on analytics to optimize performance and engagement. This role is critical in amplifying our message, engaging our community, and driving support for our rescue efforts.
Rescue Mission: At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission.
Vision: Eliminating euthanasia of dogs in the South by decreasing the amount of dogs breeding unchecked. Becoming the number one dog destination in Spokane and capitalizing on Spokanes love of Rescue Dogs.

Job Description
The Social Media Squad Lead plays a pivotal role in maintaining a professional and on-brand online presence for our dog rescue, ensuring that all social media activities align with the Rescues mission and values. As a key leader, this individual executes the Digital Marketing strategy across all social platforms, driving the execution of campaigns and initiatives that resonate with our audience. They lead the Social Media Team with a focus on accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement, ensuring that each team member is engaged and aligned with the organizations goals. This leader also stays actively involved in current Rescue operations and needs, ensuring that our social media content accurately reflects and supports the ongoing work of the Rescue.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role, with the Social Media Team Lead working closely with the Social Media Squad to develop and refine marketing campaigns that effectively promote the rescues mission. They also coordinate with other Team Leads within the Digital Marketing department, including those overseeing Email/Text, Analytics, and Paid Ads, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach. Beyond the Digital Marketing team, the Social Media Team Lead collaborates with other divisions of the Marketing Branch: Multimedia, Fundraising, and Events, to create comprehensive and impactful marketing strategies. Their responsibility extends to staying up-to-date with social media trends, ensuring that content is fresh, balanced, and engaging. By analyzing data and insights from various platforms, they refine the social media strategy, increase audience engagement, and report their findings to other teams to inform broader marketing decisions. Additionally, they develop and implement A/B testing campaigns to optimize content performance and drive continuous improvement.
