Accounting and Tax Division / Accountant / Specialist

An Accountant Specialist is responsible for preparation of financial and tax reports in accordance with National Accounting Standards and IFRS and submission within agreed timeframes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the day-to-day operations of the company (in accordance with National Accounting Standards and IFRS);
• Corresponding with the Central Bank and relevant regulatory authorities;
• Development and implementation of Financial Accounting Policy on the basis of MUBS and MUMS;
• Development of tax policy, application and organization of tax reporting;
• Timely submission of relevant reports to regulatory authorities (financial and tax);
• Monitoring of daily cut-offs and EOM process;
• Answering questions and inquiries of internal customers on a daily basis;
• Ensuring the accuracy of tax calculation, including the amount of tax paid and refunded;
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations;
• Ensuring the registration of securities;
• Providing timely execution of audit requests;
• Representing the Finance Department in the company's projects;
• Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field
• At least 2 - 4 years experience in relevant field (experience in investment sector is preferred);
• Certificates in National Accounting Standards, ACCA / Dip IFRS / CIMA;
• Thorough knowledge of AR Tax Code and accounting principles;
• Ability to work in Azerbaijani, Russian and English;
• SAP software knowledge;
• High attention to detail and good analytical skills;
• Advanced MS Excel skills;
• Expertise with market knowledge;
• Responsible, organized, and detail-driven.
