Forklift Operator

We are a leading food manufacturer in Grand Rapids and Kentwood, Michigan, looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. In this fast-paced and high-volume environment, you will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient storage and shipping of customer products. Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently perform all work tasks
Meet standard pallet move performance rates
Inspect equipment before use and ensure its in good working condition
Move products to and from storage locations
Load outbound orders while verifying accuracy
Inspect trailers before loading and ensure they meet safety and food grade standards
Secure loaded trailers while waiting for pickup
Use scanning software to move products in real-time
Perform general warehouse cleaning duties (dusting, sweeping, floor scrubbing, etc.)
Occasionally charge or change forklift batteries, participate in inventory counting, and wrap/stack products
Take on additional duties as assigned by management

Required and Preferred Qualifications:
️ High School Diploma or GED preferred
️ Previous warehouse or forklift experience
️ Ability to stand for long periods of time
️ Availability for overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed
️ Previous stand-up forklift experience highly preferred
️ Experience in a cold storage environment is a plus
