Assistant Engineer - Structural

Job Responsibilities:

• Refer to the tender document, propose the structural emphasis and technical requirement
• Compile construction drawings and other construction records, and assist in submission of technical method statement and calculation sheet
• Draft and submit request form for sample of material
• Monitor sub-contractors by established drawing and program schedule
• Liaise with architect, consultant and sub-contractors for technical issues
• Monitor the loss of structural material and building material
• Maintain and update the site structural work quality record, prepare internal and external audit properly, ensure none or least unconformable situation
• Prepare for draft Request for information (RFI), confirmation of verbal instruction (CVI) and structural work record for claims
• Perform the duties of TCP
• Attend technical/ E&M/ progress meeting
• Draft notice of rectification and site memorandum for sub-contractor
• Conduct inspection with resident consultants and sub-contractors, and arrange structural material testing, conduct and submit relevant reports
• Refer to the program and site situation, make adjustment and relevant action. Must control the pace of project structural work, to meet the most effective period, cost and quality requirement
• Closely communicate with related parties in warranty period and provide appropriate service

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above in Structural / Civil / Construction Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 1 year practical experience in managing and coordination of concrete and steel structure coordination at construction stage;
• Experience in working on new build Multi-storey Data Centre, Technology / Industrial / Laboratory buildings, Hospital, Warehouse or buildings with similar technical complexity
• Good communication skills
• Candidates with more experience or chartered membership will be considered as Engineer/Senior Engineer
