About the job Conveyancing Officer

JOB MISSION: The Conveyancing Officer is responsible for facilitating property transactions through managing the legal and administrative processes involved in transferring property ownership. He/She ensures compliance with legal requirements and provides support to clients throughout the conveyancing process.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research property titles, land registry records, and relevant legal documents to verify ownership, restrictions, and other pertinent information.
  • Draft contracts, deeds, transfer documents, and other legal forms required for property transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Coordinating with clients, solicitors, real estate agents, and other stakeholders involved in property transactions.
  • Facilitate communication and ensure smooth progress throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Conduct research on properties to identify any potential issues or liabilities such as outstanding mortgages, liens, or planning restrictions.
  • Performs financial aspects of transactions including calculating related duties, tax, and other fees.
  • Assist the transfer of funds between parties and managing client accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with government agencies, and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and certificates required for property transactions.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Inform clients about the progress of their transactions, explaining legal terms, and addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing property transactions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with conveyancing activities.


JOB SPECIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, or Legal studies or relevant field of study related to conveyancing
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Real estate experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of property law, conveyancing principles, and legal procedures
  • Valid UAE driving license
