We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Executive Director of Operations to oversee our facilities in the Chicago area.

Position Summary:

The Regional Executive Director of Operations will be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of five skilled nursing facilities in the Chicago metropolitan area. This key leadership role will ensure that each facility delivers exceptional resident care, maintains regulatory compliance, and achieves financial goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of long-term care operations, and a proven track record of success in managing multiple facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic and operational leadership to facility administrators, ensuring alignment with company mission, values, and goals.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the development and implementation of annual budgets, monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure financial sustainability and profitability.
  • Quality of Care: Ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care and services in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of all applicable regulations and ensure that all facilities maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including survey readiness.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate facility administrators. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
  • Census Development: Develop and implement strategies to achieve and maintain optimal census levels in each facility.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for growth and expansion, including developing relationships with referral sources, hospitals, and community organizations.
  • Performance Improvement: Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes, improve efficiency, and drive operational excellence.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between facility leadership and corporate headquarters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Travel: Regular travel to assigned facilities within the Chicago area is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current and valid Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in the state of Illinois.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a multi-facility leadership role within the long-term care industry.
  • Proven track record of success in managing the operational and financial performance of skilled nursing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, prepare budgets, and manage expenses effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
