Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the clinical care operations in the facility to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services and outcomes
- Monitors clinical care practices of staff for compliance with all regulatory agencies and corporate philosophy and goals as they relate to clinical care services
- Assumes a leadership role in corporate oversight of effective clinical strategic planning for facilities
- Oversees clinical personnel management of the employees assigned to the facilities consistent with state and federal labor laws and corporate philosophy, goals, and policy
- Oversees the clinical financial management of facilities to ensure desired fiscal status while providing optimal service and outcomes
- Oversees the implementation and continued operation of corporate clinical programs in conjunction with the Administrator and Director of Nursing
- Identifies appropriate internal controls for clinical departments and provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance
- Promotes and practices patient/family advocacy and facilitates the maintenance of ethical management and risk practices
- Promotes and practices customer relations
- Support and analyze quality improvement for the facility and support administrative and nursing departments within the facility and at the department and service level
- Demonstrates a high level of productivity and dependability
- Promotes leadership of the facility and promotes teamwork within the facility
- Actively promotes the professional development of self and others
- Able to handle corporate on-call for weekends and holiday rotation
- Performs related duties as required and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Current licensure in State(s) where practicing
- Must be able to travel by plane and car to assigned work locations
- LTC and SNF experience required
- Travel requirements are heavy at 50%-75% of the normal work week
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Requires the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Requires the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Must be knowledgeable of RAI Guidelines, Medicare Reimbursement Rules, as well as state Medicaid laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to Skilled Nursing Facilities
