Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates the clinical care operations in the facility to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services and outcomes
  • Monitors clinical care practices of staff for compliance with all regulatory agencies and corporate philosophy and goals as they relate to clinical care services
  • Assumes a leadership role in corporate oversight of effective clinical strategic planning for facilities
  • Oversees clinical personnel management of the employees assigned to the facilities consistent with state and federal labor laws and corporate philosophy, goals, and policy
  • Oversees the clinical financial management of facilities to ensure desired fiscal status while providing optimal service and outcomes
  • Oversees the implementation and continued operation of corporate clinical programs in conjunction with the Administrator and Director of Nursing
  • Identifies appropriate internal controls for clinical departments and provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance
  • Promotes and practices patient/family advocacy and facilitates the maintenance of ethical management and risk practices
  • Promotes and practices customer relations
  • Support and analyze quality improvement for the facility and support administrative and nursing departments within the facility and at the department and service level
  • Demonstrates a high level of productivity and dependability
  • Promotes leadership of the facility and promotes teamwork within the facility
  • Actively promotes the professional development of self and others
  • Able to handle corporate on-call for weekends and holiday rotation
  • Performs related duties as required and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Current licensure in State(s) where practicing
  • Must be able to travel by plane and car to assigned work locations
  • LTC and SNF experience required
  • Travel requirements are heavy at 50%-75% of the normal work week
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Requires the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Requires the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
  • Must be knowledgeable of RAI Guidelines, Medicare Reimbursement Rules, as well as state Medicaid laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to Skilled Nursing Facilities
