Senior Dev Ops Engineer (Co-Lead)

If so, Paladin & Archer is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with the expertise to lead teams and projects in crafting world-class software solutions. 

What we expect from a Senior DevOps Engineer: 

Leadership: You will co-lead a talented team of DevOps engineers, ensuring smooth delivery of a DevOps team, hitting every milestone, and overcoming every challenge. 

Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, architects and stakeholders to align goals, solve complex problems, and ensure that processes and systems work cohesively. 

Technical Expertise: Be a hands-on expert in cloud services and DevOps tools, capable of making technical decisions and driving innovation. 

Communication Skills: Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity and confidence. 

Project Management: Take ownership of planning and executing DevOps projects, ensuring tasks are prioritized, scoped, and delivered on time. 

Adaptability: Thrive in an ever-evolving environment, switching between high-level strategy and on-the-ground problem-solving. 

We need someone who can: 

• Implement and optimize DevOps practices across multiple cloud environments (AWS Primarily, but potentially some Azure). 

• Deploy infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform) while driving automation and CI/CD improvements. 

• Setup and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline and GitHub Actions for Java and Node.js Microservices. 

• Co-lead a DevOps team by potentially helping with any of the following:  

• Create tasks in Jira 

• Help facilitate meetings (like a Scrum Master) 

• Create and present architecture diagrams 

• Running team meetings 

• Mentor and coach team members to elevate their skills and knowledge. 

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. 

• Foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence. 

Prefer to Have: 

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other relevant agile team leadership certifications. 

• AWS DevOps Engineer or Developer certification. 

• SAFe DevOps Certification 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or an additional 8 years' experience in IT / Software Development. 

• 5+ years of experience in software development and/or IT related work. 

• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and delivering complex technical projects. 

• Expertise in cloud platforms, automation tools, and Agile methodologies.
