FL-DOH-Macclenny-CNA - Candidates will need to attend an full two week orientation, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $14.64/hr / Bill Rate: $19.03/hr (Candidates will be considered who exceed the established State of Florida rate card)
WORK ENVIORNMENT: This is a State of Florida Psychiatric Hospital which operates 24/7, 7 days a week. This state owned hospital has 613 beds and provides inpatient psychiatric care for clients committed to the hospital by the state or through the criminal justice system.
TYPE OF PATIENTS: The hospital accepts adults 18 and older whose needs cant be met through treatment in a community based program.The program provides evaluation, assessment, and treatment to clients who are deemed not guilty due to insanity or who are incompetent and cant proceed with criminal proceedings.
CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with all aspects of resident care as assigned by the nurse/shift supervisor, including activities of daily living, ambulation, mobility, and nutrition.
2. Observe, identify, and report resident concerns or needs to the shift supervisor.
3. Document information factually and objectively, within acceptable time frame as defined by facility policy.
4. Provide safe and supportive observation and effectively monitor assigned residents.
5. Complete assignments timely, completely, accurately and in a cooperative manner.
6. Provide the necessary assistance when giving residents the following activities of daily living nursing care: oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming, hair and nail care, shaving, toileting, eating and drinking, and mobility.
7. Assist with monitoring and accountability of residents to enable medical personnel to accomplish health related tasks.
8. Display professionalism throughout employment including, but not limited to, arriving to work on time, maintaining an accurate timesheet, and maintaining professional appearance as defined by facility policy.
