Mainframe Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe System Analyst with design and development expertise in CardLink or any cards platform. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, and CICS, and a deep understanding of cards and payments systems. This role requires engagement with users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless system enhancements and implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, and develop mainframe-based card processing systems (CardLink/Vision Plus).
• Work closely with business users, IT teams, and vendors to gather and refine system requirements.
• Develop and maintain COBOL, JCL, and CICS programs to support card payment processing.
• Ensure seamless processing by working with VSAM and sequential datasets (no database).
• Provide system support and troubleshooting for card transactions and related processes.
• Optimize batch and online processing for high availability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards in card payments.
• Conduct system impact analysis and risk assessment for changes and enhancements.
• Document technical specifications, system flows, and user guidelines.
• Provide post-implementation support and enhancements for card processing applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a System Analyst in CardLink, Vision Plus, or similar card platforms.
• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, and CICS on mainframe systems.
• Experience working with VSAM and sequential datasets (no database exposure).
• Strong understanding of cards and payments processing.
• Ability to work closely with business teams, IT departments, and third-party vendors.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to handle complex transaction processing.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
