We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, implement, and support advanced IT and AI infrastructure solutions across enterprise on-premises, virtualised, AI-enabled, and hybrid platforms.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain core IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualisation, AI platforms, and enterprise systems
• Provide technical recommendations and best practices to optimise infrastructure performance, availability, scalability, and capacity
• Lead and support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution for infrastructure-related issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with business and project needs
• Develop, maintain, and improve infrastructure architecture documentation, standards, and operational guidelines
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with security and regulatory frameworks such as RMiT, CAF, NIST, and ISO 27001
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) and other security controls across infrastructure components
• Automate infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks using scripting, automation tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams
• Work closely with IT security teams to strengthen and enhance infrastructure security posture

What You Bring

Must-have:

• Minimum 6 to 9 years of overall experience in IT infrastructure engineering, implementation, and support
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on L3 experience in enterprise infrastructure environments
• Strong hands-on experience in server, storage, virtualisation, and enterprise infrastructure technologies
• Exposure to or working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud-integrated platforms
• Experience in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, root cause analysis, and major incident resolution
• Good understanding of infrastructure security controls, including identity and access management (IAM)
• Experience with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Knowledge of industry standards and security/regulatory frameworks such as RMiT, CAF, NIST, and ISO 27001
• Experience in preparing and maintaining infrastructure architecture documentation, standards, and technical guidelines

• Exposure to AI infrastructure or environments supporting AI-related workloads
• Experience working in regulated enterprise environments such as insurance, banking, or large-scale corporate organisations
• Prior experience in mentoring junior engineers or leading small infrastructure project teams
