Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist / AI Engineer to build, deploy, and maintain machine learning models that solve real-world business problems across large-scale aviation and travel technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models for business use cases.
• Develop predictive models using algorithms such as XGBoost, LightGBM, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, and other machine learning techniques.
• Perform feature engineering and data preparation to improve model performance.
• Identify and prevent data leakage, including target leakage and feature leakage.
• Select appropriate evaluation metrics such as MAE, MAPE, and RMSE based on business requirements.
• Explain model outputs, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform services, particularly BigQuery and Vertex AI.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of machine learning models in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into practical AI and data science solutions.

Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms including:
  • XGBoost
  • LightGBM
  • Decision Trees
  • Neural Networks
• Good understanding of predictive modelling principles.
• Experience with feature engineering and model evaluation.
• Understanding of data leakage and techniques to prevent it during model development and validation.
• Knowledge of evaluation metrics such as MAE, MAPE, and RMSE.
• Ability to explain machine learning results to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially:
  • BigQuery
  • Vertex AI

Nice-to-have

• Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models in production.
• Experience with deep learning for forecasting.
• Experience using AutoML tools.
• Experience developing LLM-based applications.
• Exposure to model monitoring, drift detection, and production performance tracking.
