Location: Buckinghamshire (onsite)
Salary: £28,900 basic + overtime opportunities
Hours:  Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm, Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm

The Opportunity

An established and highly respected precision manufacturing organisation is seeking a Logistics Operative to join its Tool Stores team. This role plays a key part in supporting manufacturing operations through the management, control and distribution of tooling, consumables, materials and stock.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal production teams and external suppliers, ensuring materials, tooling and equipment are available when required and inventory records remain accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing teams by issuing tooling, fixtures, gauges and consumable items.
  • Receive, check and store incoming tooling, stock and materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using computerised stock control systems.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and cycle counts.
  • Prepare, pack and label items for internal transfer and external shipment.
  • Process tooling requests and coordinate deliveries to production areas.
  • Assist with inventory replenishment activities across manufacturing departments.
  • Ensure tooling and stock data is accurate and updated within internal systems.
  • Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.
  • Adhere to all company health, safety and quality procedures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
  • Experience using computerised inventory control or stock management systems.
  • Good IT skills, including basic use of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Reliable, organised and methodical approach to work.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.

Desirable

  • Forklift experience (licence preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and stock control procedures.
  • Experience within aerospace, engineering or precision manufacturing environments.


Essential Screening Criteria (Must Have)

  • UK National or resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years with Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or Full Settled Status.
  • Eligibility to pass relevant right-to-work and background checks.
