This is a 5 – month contract with our client in the Fintech Industry
We are seeking candidates primarily based in Douala or Yaoundé. Exceptional international applicants may be considered, provided they are willing to travel to Cameroon periodically and meet all necessary legal, immigration, and business requirements.
We are seeking a Solution Architect (Next-Gen Integration) to define, design, and govern the end-to-end architecture and integration landscape for our client's next-generation digital platforms, mobile applications, and API ecosystems. Reporting to the Head of Technology & Information Security, you will provide the technical leadership necessary to ensure our digital channels are scalable, cloud-native, secure, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Produce High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for mobile-first initiatives and backend services, aligning them with enterprise architectures and security frameworks.
- Integration Governance: Design high-scale API, middleware, and event-driven integration patterns connecting Next-Gen digital channels with the Enterprise Wallet Platform (EWP) and third-party partners.
- Delivery Support: Provide technical steering and architectural signoffs for delivery teams, ensuring robust DevOps, CI/CD practices, and non-functional requirement compliance.
- Technology Strategy: Define and maintain the digital channel roadmap, driving platform reusability, modular microservices adoption, and the reduction of technical debt.
Core Requirements
- Experience: 8–12 years in Software Engineering, Systems Integration, or Architecture, including at least 5 years of dedicated experience within FinTech, Mobile Money, Digital Banking, or mobile-first digital platforms.
- Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Mobile App Architecture (Android/iOS), Microservices, API Management, Event-Driven Architecture, and Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Methodologies & Modelling: Strong mastery of architecture modelling (UML, ArchiMate, TOGAF frameworks) and modern DevOps engineering pipelines.
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred certifications include TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect, or ITIL Foundation.
