This is a 12 - month contract with our client in the banking industry
We are looking for a strategic Senior Test Analyst to lead quality governance across complex software initiatives. This role is designed for a QA professional who moves beyond simple execution to define test strategies, mentor junior analysts, and provide critical "go/no-go" insights to stakeholders. You will be the bridge between technical stability and business-focused quality.
Key requirements
- Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the execution of comprehensive test strategies, plans, and risk assessments for major releases.
- End-to-End Oversight: Manage the full testing lifecycle, including functional, integration, regression, and non-functional requirements (Performance/Security).
- Technical Excellence: Design and maintain high-quality test scenarios; guide automation efforts and perform API testing using tools like Postman.
- Defect Governance: Manage the defect lifecycle and perform root cause analysis to drive continuous quality improvements.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Partner with BAs, Developers, and Product Owners to translate technical risks into actionable business insights.
- Mentorship: Coach junior QA team members and perform peer reviews of test artefacts to maintain organizational standards.
Minimum requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in software testing, with at least 2 years in a Senior or Lead capacity.
- Technical Stack: * Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Expertise in Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, or TestRail.
- Solid experience with API testing (Postman) and manual testing.
- Methodology: Strong experience in Agile/Scrum and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environments.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in IT/Computer Science.
- Certification: ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst (highly advantageous).
