WE'RE HIRING: BPM / WORKFLOW SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Location: Sandton, Johannesburg – 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Contract: 12 Months
We are looking for an experienced BPM / Workflow Software Developer with strong experience in IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda and Java-based software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate detailed designs into programming and configuration
- Develop, model and deploy business workflows
- Work with IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda 7/8
- Integrate workflows with custom UIs
- Develop using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices
- Integrate and work with Kafka/Confluent
- Identify opportunities for process automation
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers
Requirements
- 5+ years practical experience in business process analysis
- 5+ years software development experience with:
- Java 11+
- Spring Boot
- REST APIs
- Microservices
- Hands-on experience with IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda 7/8
- Strong knowledge of BPMN/DMN and Camunda Modeler
- Experience with workflow deployment, external task workers and incident handling
- Practical Kafka/Confluent experience
- Experience with Git and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Functional and performance testing experience
- Understanding of AI-enabled workflow optimisation and data-driven decision automation
- Banking experience is advantageous
Qualifications & Certifications
Essential:
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or Software Engineering
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Certifications:
- Camunda Certified Modeler / Developer
- Kafka/Confluent Practitioner
- Azure AZ-900 / AZ-104 / AZ-204
