Job Overview:
The Senior Business Analyst will act as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the problems, opportunities, needs, structure, policies, and operations of the organization, particularly on large, high-risk, and complex projects. The role involves recommending solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals, eliciting and analyzing the actual needs of stakeholders, and facilitating communication between organizational units. The Senior Business Analyst will align the needs of business units with the capabilities delivered by information technology and may serve as a translator between these groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify and understand their needs, problems, and opportunities.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and organizational units.
- Requirements Elicitation and Analysis:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Use various techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis to elicit requirements.
- Solution Recommendation:
- Analyze and evaluate potential solutions to meet business needs.
- Recommend solutions that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Agile Methodologies:
- Apply agile methodologies in project management and business analysis.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Project Management:
- Manage large, high-risk, and complex projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create detailed documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
- Use tools such as Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, business units, and IT teams.
- Act as a translator between business units and IT to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Implement best practices in business analysis and project management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An honors degree in Computer Science is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with significant experience on large, high-risk, and complex projects. Agile and banking experience is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Jira and Confluence is required.
- Certifications: Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master) is advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
