Job Description:
Are you an experienced professional with a passion for maintaining and optimizing building assets while ensuring exceptional service delivery? Were recruiting for a Facilities Manager to oversee the planning, management, and monitoring of facilities within a property portfolio. This role is crucial in ensuring high-quality standards, tenant satisfaction, and effective risk and energy management.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Administration & Management: Oversee all facilities-related operations, including documentation, reporting, and help desk management.
- Occupational Health & Safety (OHS): Implement and manage health and safety policies aligned with local regulations and ISO standards.
- Financial Budgeting & Control: Prepare and manage annual repair, maintenance, and planned maintenance budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Utility & Energy Management: Monitor energy consumption, initiate energy audits, and implement green building standards.
- Risk Management: Conduct annual inspections, ensure compliance with statutory regulations, and manage tenant and public safety.
- Technical Support: Provide technical services and support for new developments, tenant installations, and asset handovers.
- Asset Maintenance: Ensure optimal performance and maintenance of all building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and security infrastructure.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric), with a BSc in Property Studies, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Qualified Electrical/Mechanical Engineers or Technicians (minimum N5) preferred.
- SAFMA accreditation is advantageous.
Experience:
- 5- 8 years in Facilities or Property Management, with a proven track record in managing complex facilities portfolios.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and reporting tools.
- Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of OHS regulations, ISO standards, and energy efficiency practices.
- Excellent financial acumen for budgeting and cost control.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
