Job Description:

Our banking client seeks a Portfolio Manager on a 6 month contract, to grow existing business and acquire new opportunities to meet revenue, profitability, and market share goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement sales strategies to achieve targets.
  • Identify obstacles and develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with bank's risk framework and regulations.
  • Recommend process improvements based on client feedback.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports.
  • Grow existing portfolio and acquire new business.
  • Analyze current portfolio to identify growth opportunities.
  • Align execution strategy with business objectives and budgets.
  • Enable cross-selling and upselling to meet portfolio targets.
  • Build trusting client relationships with appropriate advice.
  • Conduct needs analysis for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage deliverables within agreed timelines.
  • Contribute to transformation goals and corporate responsibility initiatives.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12/National Senior Certificate.
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Commerce: Financial Management, FAIS accreditation.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in a sales role, preferably in business banking.

Skills:

  • Business principles, communication strategies, data analysis.
  • Governance, risk, and controls.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, trends, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
