Solution Architect (Java / Spring Boot)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to provide end-to-end application systems design, ensuring alignment between business requirements, architectural standards, and optimal resource utilisation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with organisational strategy, with a strong focus on Java-based backend systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of robust, scalable, and secure application architectures
- Translate business requirements into technical solution designs
- Ensure alignment of architecture with enterprise standards and governance frameworks
- Balance functional requirements with performance, cost, and resource considerations
- Collaborate with stakeholders including business analysts, developers, and enterprise architects
- Guide and support development teams throughout the solution lifecycle
- Ensure integration of systems across complex enterprise environments
- Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture practices and standards
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Strong Java backend development experience
- Advanced experience in Java J2EE and/or Spring Boot
- Proven experience in Solution Architecture within enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of system design, integration patterns, and API development
- Experience working in complex, large-scale financial or enterprise systems
Nice to Have
- Experience within banking or financial services environments
- Exposure to cloud platforms and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities
