Job Description:
This is a 6 – month contract with our client in the Fintech industry.
You will lead the standardization of architectural and integration methodologies, guiding the modernization of legacy enterprise systems into scalable, cloud-native, and composable architectures across all Fintech markets.
Responsibilities include
- Architectural Blueprinting & Roadmaps: Define enterprise application architectures focused on scalability, security, and high availability (HA). Develop and maintain multi-year roadmaps for core platforms (ERP, CRM, Finance, HR).
- Standardisation & Consolidation: Drive standardisation across diverse markets to eliminate duplication, minimize technical debt, and ensure components align tightly with target architectures.
- Modern Integration Engineering: Enforce advanced integration patterns, including API-led, event-driven architectures, and real-time data streaming (e.g., Kafka).
- Legacy Modernisation: Guide the transition of legacy monolithic enterprise systems toward modular, cloud-native, and composable architectures.
- Stakeholder & Workshop Leadership: Lead requirements-gathering workshops with cross-functional stakeholders, translate business demands into solid solution designs, and secure stakeholder sign-off.
- Governance & Risk Management: Monitor architectural health indicators, managing cross-platform dependencies, resolving escalations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory baselines (GDPR, POPIA, PCI DSS, PSD2, Open Banking).
Requirements include:
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in software and enterprise architecture roles, with at least 5 years specifically focused on core enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, Finance, HR systems).
- Framework Mastery: Deep, demonstrable experience with TOGAF or similar enterprise frameworks, capability maturity assessments, and governance protocols.
- Integration Expertise: Exceptional proficiency in enterprise integration patterns (iPaaS, ESB, API Gateways like MuleSoft/Kong) and real-time event streaming platforms.
- Security & Pipeline Literacy: Strong background in secure data pipeline design (encryption at rest/in transit, tokenization, data masking) within a high-volume financial context.
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Highly preferred credentials include:
- EA Frameworks: TOGAF, SAFe Architect.
- Cloud/Vendors: Azure/AWS/GCP Architect, SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce certifications.
- Integration: MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, or AWS API Gateway.
