Job Description:
This is a 5 - month contract with our client in the Fintech industry.
We are seeking candidates primarily based in Douala or Yaoundé. Exceptional international applicants may be considered, provided they are willing to travel to Cameroon periodically and meet all necessary legal, immigration, and business requirements.
Our client in the Fintech industry is seeking an Application Support Manager to own end-to-end production support, system availability, and incident management for our Enterprise Wallet Platform. You will lead a technical support team, manage platform vendors, and ensure our 24/7 environment runs flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Delivery: Manage day-to-day EWP production support across application, middleware, and integration layers. Drive SLA compliance, incident management, and structured root cause analysis (RCA).
- Service Assurance: Oversee application performance monitoring and transaction success rates. Proactively detect trends to pre-empt customer-impacting events.
- Releases & DR: Coordinate platform patches, upgrades, and releases with vendors. Lead business continuity and disaster recovery (BCP/DR) testing.
- People & Governance: Lead and coach a high-performing team of support engineers. Manage vendor SLAs, lead post-incident reviews (PIRs), and represent the team at Change Advisory Boards (CAB).
Technical Profile Required
- Experience: 5–8 years total | 3+ years in Mobile Money, Digital Wallets, or FinTech
- Domain Expertise: At least 3 years supporting Mobile Money platforms (wallet cores, switches, USSD/API channels) or payment gateways.
- Core Tech: Linux/Unix administration, SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL), and scripting/log analysis.
- Tools & Frameworks: APM monitoring tools, ITIL Service Management processes, and ServiceNow/Jira.
- Leadership: Proven experience managing third-party vendors and leading incident response in a 24/7 environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- Highly Desirable: ITIL Foundation (Intermediate/Practitioner is a plus), PMP, or PRINCE2.
