Senior Manager Data Analytics
12 Months Contract

About the Role
As the Senior Manager: Data Analytics, you will drive the analytics and reporting roadmap, lead advanced modelling initiatives, and build data-driven capabilities that support growth, performance, and operational excellence across the FinTech portfolio.
This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics & Insights Leadership
Drive the analytics & reporting roadmap and balance tactical + strategic business insight needs
Develop BI content including dashboards, reports, scorecards, and analytic solutions
Perform complex analyses: machine learning, optimisation, NLP/text analytics, modelling, statistical techniques
Data Science & Modelling
Build predictive models for remittance volumes, customer behaviour, currency patterns
Implement ML techniques to enhance fraud detection and risk management
Develop advanced quantitative modules to support predictive assessments
Build and manage models for the semantic layer
Data Engineering & Visualisation
Develop automated processes for data ingestion, transformation, and visualisation
Support development of new data capabilities and architecture
Work with cloud and big data technologies (Azure, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, PIG, MapReduce)
Business & Operational Support
Analyse performance and provide data-led insights to support business strategy
Monitor compliance and support risk mitigation strategies
Support A/B testing and experimentation for process improvement
Prepare executive-level presentations for ExCo, Board, and leadership committees
Collaboration & Enablement
Engage cross-functional teams (Finance, Technology, CVM, Operations, Opcos)
Enable Opcos with analytics tools, frameworks, and insights
Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) advantageous
Experience Requirements
5+ years in financial services, consulting, strategy, analytics, engineering, or related fields
5+ years in data structuring, data management, analytics, big data
12 years data science experience at specialist level within financial services or telecom
Experience working in medium to large global organisations
Experience in Agile / DevOps environments
Technical Expertise
Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, Seaborn, Bokeh), SAS, R or Scala
Hadoop, Spark, Hive, PIG, MapReduce
Data visualisation tools: Tableau, Power BI, D3, BO, SQL, SAS EG
Strong experience with databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, MSSQL
Cloud experience: Azure
