2+ years proven experience as a bookkeeper or accounting clerk with strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations. Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills for professional interaction with colleagues and clients. Knowledge of payroll processing, tax laws, and regulations for accounts payable and receivable. Problem-solving skills with the ability to reconcile discrepancies independently.

Core responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Record financial transactions in accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to validate transactions. Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers. Generate and issue invoices to clients, following up on outstanding payments for timely collections. Calculate and process employee payroll, including taxes and deductions, while maintaining compliance with regulations. Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting activities to support management decision-making. Data entry and review, flagging inconsistencies and communicating with team members to ensure accuracy.
