Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential; advanced qualifications such as a CPA are highly preferred. At least 5 years of progressive experience in senior finance roles, including demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams. Proven ability to think strategically and develop financial plans that align with broader business objectives while addressing operational challenges. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights to stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of financial laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards, with a proven track record of maintaining regulatory excellence. Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced tools (specifically Xero), with the ability to leverage technology for improved performance. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization. Preferable: fluency in spoken Chinese language, i.e. Mandarin
Core responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals, ensuring scalability and adaptability to changing business needs. Oversee the preparation, monitoring, and review of organizational budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and optimal allocation of resources. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for internal stakeholders, external investors, and regulatory bodies, providing insights to guide decision-making. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks, implementing robust risk management strategies to protect the organization’s financial health and stability. Lead and inspire the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, professional development, and accountability to drive high performance. Monitor and ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards, proactively addressing emerging compliance requirements. Continuously improve financial processes and systems to increase operational efficiency, reduce errors, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
