Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3.5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Core responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate recording of receipts.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balances, and reconciling entries.
  • Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll, ensuring accurate calculation and timely distribution of salaries. Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
  • Expense Management: Monitor and track company expenses. Prepare and process expense reports and reimbursements.
  • Support Functions: Provide support for other administrative tasks as needed, including managing office supplies and assisting with special projects.
