We're hiring a conversion-focused Direct Response Creative Strategist (Paid Social) role for a performance-driven eCommerce company producing high-volume paid social creatives for eCommerce brands. This is an iteration-heavy position at the intersection of data, psychology, copy, video production, AI tools, and performance marketing. You will analyze winning ads, extract patterns, translate Meta performance data into decisions, write scalable scripts, and direct production through clear briefs and feedback.
About the Employer
The client is a fast-growing direct response eCommerce brand specializing in the dental cosmetic niche. They create high-volume UGC, VSL, and AI-powered ad creatives for eCommerce brands focused on measurable results.
Objective of this Role
- Use Meta data to identify what to scale, what to iterate, and where opportunities exist
- Produce production-ready scripts and briefs that editors and creators can execute quickly
Maintain a consistent pipeline of fresh concepts and structured iteration
- Drive measurable improvements in creative performance (CTR, retention, CVR, CPA)
- Provide creative direction to video editors and creators, then provide feedback on the work submitted
Responsibilities
- Creative analysis & pattern recognition
Analyze top-performing ads and identify why they work
Break down hooks, angles, avatars, pacing, emotional triggers, and messaging
Extract repeatable frameworks from winners and turn them into structured iterations
- Meta-focused data interpretation
- Read and interpret Meta Ads Manager data (CTR, thumbstop, hook retention, CVR, CPA, scaling patterns)
- Identify what to scale, what to kill, and what to iterate
- Present clear conclusions and next actions (not just numbers)
- Script development & AI integration
Write and flesh out direct response scripts (UGC, short-form, VSL)
- Use AI tools to generate variations, expand angles, and accelerate iteration
- Convert concepts into production-ready creative briefs aligned to persona and funnel stage
- Concept development & market research
- Research competitor creatives and adjacent industries for transferable ideas
- Generate fresh angles consistently and avoid creative stagnation
- Creative direction & production oversight
- Create detailed briefs for editors, designers, UGC creators, and on-camera talent
- Direct tone, pacing, structure, and visual style
- Review edits and provide precise, actionable feedback to improve output consistency
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in direct response/performance marketing (not branding)
Strong conversion-focused copywriting and scripting ability
- Interpreting performance data of Meta Ads and understanding algorithm of different social media platforms
Ability to translate data into clear decisions and next-step actions
- Experience in video production, creative direction, or directing editors/creators
Proficiency using AI tools to accelerate creative development and iteration
Strong understanding of UGC, VSL, and paid social creative formats
- Highly organized; comfortable handling high creative volume and tight iteration loops
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Familiarity with structured creative testing frameworks and post-test analysis
- Strong understanding of consumer psychology, persuasion, and funnel-stage messaging
