We are seeking a proactive, highly personable Clinical Intake & Referral Development Specialist with a nursing background to support inbound care inquiries and build referral relationships within the healthcare community.
This role is ideal for someone who can combine clinical understanding, strong communication skills, and relationship-building ability. The right candidate should be comfortable speaking with families, understanding care needs, coordinating next steps, and developing trust with healthcare referral partners such as hospitals, clinics, social workers, senior living facilities, and discharge planning teams.

Objectives of this role:
- Convert qualified inbound inquiries into paying clients through thoughtful, empathetic intake conversations.
- Use nursing or clinical knowledge to better understand client care needs and communicate clearly with families and internal care teams.
- Build and nurture referral relationships with healthcare professionals and senior-care organizations.
- Maintain organized CRM records, outreach tracking, and consistent follow-ups to support business growth and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
B2C Intake Coordination (25–40%)
Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from families with empathy, professionalism, and clarity.
Conduct intake conversations, assess care needs, and document details accurately in CRM systems.
Qualify leads and coordinate next steps with the patient care and marketing teams.
Support calendar coordination, follow-ups, and CRM updates.
B2B Outreach & Referral Development (60–75%)
Conduct outbound outreach to hospitals, clinics, social workers, senior living facilities, and referral partners.
Build relationships with key healthcare contacts to generate consistent referrals.
Communicate via phone, email, and WhatsApp to maintain partnerships.
Track outreach activity and referral pipelines using spreadsheets or CRM tools.
Coordination & Communication
Serve as a communication anchor for follow-ups, updates, and internal coordination.
Maintain high responsiveness on WhatsApp throughout the workday.
Support local marketing initiatives and collaborate with patient care teams.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or outreach roles, ideally in healthcare, insurance, senior services, or U.S.-based markets.
- Familiarity with U.S. healthcare systems (referrals, home care, Medicaid/Medicare, etc.).
- Strong spoken and written English with a confident, professional tone.
- Excellent phone skills with the ability to improvise, not just follow a script.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and CRM-like tracking systems.
- Experience using VoIP tools such as RingCentral or similar.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Nursing background required; active or previous nursing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in home healthcare, senior care, or similar B2C service industries (e.g., dentistry, wellness, caregiving).
- Familiarity with healthcare referral ecosystems or discharge planning processes.
- Experience building referral networks or partnerships.
- Basic familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Google Sheets, or similar CRM systems (training provided).
- Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments like New York healthcare.
