We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support our transportation operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining driver compliance, managing communications, supporting the company's growth through outbound sales and prospecting, and ensuring seamless onboarding and coordination across logistics activities.

Objectives of this role:
To efficiently manage communication channels, support driver compliance and onboarding, prospecting for new clients and opportunities, and contribute to the overall flow and accuracy of logistics operations through strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage logistics-related communications by responding to emails via Gmail and handling inbound/outbound phone calls
Perform outbound prospecting and cold calls to freight brokers, forwarders, and potential clients to generate new business
Monitor driver compliance and proactively collect necessary documentation (e.g., licenses, medical cards)
Oversee and assist with onboarding new drivers and owner-operators
Provide timely and accurate rate quotes to brokers and clients
Maintain communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues
Update and manage internal driver and compliance tracking systems
Provide general administrative support related to logistics and transportation functions
Required skills and qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a logistics or transportation-related role
Working knowledge of logistics or transportation operations
Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Gmail, RingCentral, and other tools commonly used in logistics or transportation operations
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred skills and qualifications
Experience in the trucking, freight brokerage, or broader logistics/transportation industry
Familiarity with supply chain principles and dispatch/broker software tools
Understanding of transportation safety regulations and driver compliance requirements
Proven sales and prospecting skills, with confidence in cold calling and rate negotiation
Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and ability to manage broker communications effectively
Nice to have:
Hands-on experience in brokerage and dispatching is a plus
