The Sourcer focuses on research, sourcing, job postings, and pre-qualificationensuring that Senior Recruiters receive interview-ready talent. This role is well-suited for candidates who are adaptable, tech-savvy, and open to leveraging AI-related tools to make recruitment more efficient.

Objectives of this Role

  • Consistently generate a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates across various industries and functions.

  • Support Senior Recruiters by conducting first-level screening and ensuring smooth handover of candidates.

  • Improve sourcing efficiency through creative search strategies, tools, and AI.

  • Maintain strong candidate relationships to ensure engagement throughout the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive market research and talent mapping to identify potential candidates for current and future needs.

  • Create sample candidate profiles (for requests and intake meetings) to support client presentations and business development.

  • Draft, post, and refresh job advertisements across job boards, social media, and niche communities to attract top talent.

  • Source candidates across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, social media, niche communities, referrals).

  • Use Boolean search and other advanced techniques to uncover hidden talent.

  • Screen resumes/profiles and conduct pre-screening calls focused on assessing communication skills and basic qualifications.

  • Set up and coordinate initial interviews for Senior Recruiters, including setting email reminders for clients and candidates.

  • Assist in client interview preparation (headhunting or staffing).

  • Perform character reference checks and consolidate findings.

  • Ensure all endorsement requirements are complete, including uploading candidate videos to the correct folders and making light edits (e.g., cropping if necessary).

  • Be on top of follow-ups with contractors, specifically for compliance requirements (e.g., NBI clearance or other pending documentation).

  • Assist in updating SOPs whenever new processes or changes are implemented.

  • Manage candidate communication, including outreach campaigns, reminders, and follow-ups.

  • Maintain and update candidate database/CRM with accurate sourcing data.

  • Collaborate closely with Senior Recruiters to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified candidates.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of proven sourcing/research experience, preferably in recruitment agencies or RPO settings.

  • Strong expertise in Boolean search, X-ray search, and advanced sourcing techniques.

  • Experience hiring for niche, hard-to-fill, or specialized roles.

  • Familiarity with sourcing platforms and recruitment CRMs (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, GitHub, Manatal).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail in managing candidate pipelines.

  • Analytical mindset with ability to create market reports and talent insights.

  • Openness to using AI and automation tools to improve sourcing efficiency.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience building candidate pools for executive searches.

  • Knowledge of sourcing automation tools.

  • Exposure to recruitment marketing or employer branding activities.
