Shopify Developer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Shopify Developer to join their team remotely. The ideal candidate will have solid experience building, customising and maintaining Shopify stores, with a strong understanding of front‑end development, Liquid templates and e‑commerce best practices. You will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development, optimisation and performance of the clients online retail platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert Figma designs into fully functional Shopify blocks, sections, and templates with precise visual accuracy.
• Design visually appealing website elements and implement them directly via code.
• Build, customise, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Ensure all design updates follow modern UI/UX best practices and elevate visual consistency. 
• Improve website performance, responsiveness, and load speed.
• Integrate, configure, and optimise Shopify apps and third‑party tools.
• Troubleshoot both front‑end and back‑end Shopify issues.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Produce clean, well‑structured, and well‑documented code.

Strict Requirements

The following requirements are mandatory:

• Design & Development (Both Required)
• Must be proficient in both design and coding.
• Must have a strong design eye for layout, spacing, typography, and visual refinement.
• Must be capable of independently creating visually polished UI components.
• Figma to Shopify Execution
• Must be able to take a Figma design and convert it into a fully functioning and visually accurate Shopify page, block, or section.
• Must ensure consistent, high‑quality implementation.

Technical Skills


• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Shopify Developer.
• Strong proficiency with Shopify Liquid, theme architecture, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Experience with Shopify apps, APIs, and third‑party integrations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Communication & Language

• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Remote Work Requirements

Access to the following is required:

• Personal laptop
• Headset
• Reliable back-up power supply (Solar, UPS or Inverter)
• Stable, high-speed internet connection

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with Shopify Plus.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices within e‑commerce environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with Figma or similar design tools.
