Recruitment Consultant

 Job Description:

About the Role

Outsource Ability is recruiting for a Recruitment Consultant to join our team on an independent contractor basis, part-time or full-time, working UK business hours. We place remote talent with clients across a range of sectors in a fast-paced environment.

This role owns roles end to end. You will take a brief from a client, source and screen against it, run interviews with clients and candidates present, manage both sides through to offer, and be directly accountable for the placement outcome.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients across the life of a role.
  • Take detailed role briefs and clarify requirements, must-haves and deal-breakers before sourcing begins.
  • Handle client queries and concerns and resolve them promptly.
  • Keep clients updated on pipeline progress, candidate feedback and timelines without needing to be chased.

Role Ownership & Placement

  • Take full ownership of assigned roles from brief through to successful placement.
  • Arrange and sit interviews with both client and candidate present, and facilitate the conversation where needed.
  • Relay post-interview feedback to both sides.
  • Manage offer conversations, including rate and package discussions, and negotiate to a workable agreement.
  • Follow through on placement administration and handover so the start date is met.

Sourcing & Screening

  • Identify active and passive candidates using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, job boards, talent databases and industry networks.
  • Build and use Boolean search strings to find hard-to-find talent.
  • Conduct thorough phone and video screenings against the client brief.
  • Write personalised outreach messages that generate responses from passive candidates.
  • Research unfamiliar sectors and roles quickly, and adapt your approach to each brief.

Pipeline & ATS Management

  • Process incoming applications promptly so no candidate is left waiting.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, notes and stage tracking in the ATS.
  • Manage multiple live roles at once without letting any of them stall.
  • Use AI tools to streamline sourcing, screening, written communication and daily administrative tasks.

Systems

  • Manatal
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Job boards and candidate databases
  • AI tools

Experience with every system is not essential, but you must be confident learning new technology.
