About the job Semantics IT Expert (Data Spaces)
We currently have a vacancy for a Semantics IT Expert fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.
Your tasks
Provide technical support for interoperability assessment data modelling activities, SDGR/OOTS, and interoperability in Data Spaces;
Provide support on the semantic toolchain, with benchmarking, and identifying open-source solutions to support data modelling activities;
Oversees and check semantics activities entrusted by the interoperability programme;
Support the modelling, maintenance and update of semantic specifications;
Support the formalisation, integration, and adoption of Linked Data Event Streams, ensuring alignment with existing standards and data strategies;
Coordinate the development as well as the promotion of specifications among stakeholders, community building, as well as provide supervision and guidance on reusable pilots;
Assist in the continuous improvement and implementation support for specifications, including providing guidance to stakeholders on adopting the profile and assist in creating additional sub-profiles where necessary;
Be actively involved in the creation of blog post publications on modelling approaches and practices;
Supervise the activities around Access to Base Registries, Catalogue of Services;
Involvement in the organisation and implementation webinars and workshops;
Supervise the creation of appropriate materials for the presentation of semantic specifications to different types of audiences.
Requirements
Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in IT;
At least 8 years of experience in semantic methodologies, semantic transformation, metadata modelling and Linked data;
At least 8 years of experience in OWL, RDF, SKOS, XML, shacl;
Experience with Machine learning and AI models;
Excellent command of the English language.
