About the job Chefs
Our client, a busy and well-regarded restaurant in St. Julians, is looking for dedicated and passionate Chefs to join their growing kitchen team. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and customer preferences.

Ensure all food is served at the appropriate temperature and presented attractively.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times.

Monitor stock levels and inform the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager when supplies need to be replenished.

Contribute ideas for new dishes or daily specials, supporting menu development.

Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely, and efficient service.

Inspect the quality of ingredients and ensure correct storage, labeling, and rotation practices.

Provide guidance and training to junior staff or apprentices as needed.

Follow portion control standards to reduce waste and support cost management efforts.

Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Requirements:

Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.

Strong understanding of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and safety procedures.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.

Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Culinary qualifications are a plus but not essential if supported by relevant experience.
