Our client, a busy and well-regarded restaurant in St. Julians, is looking for dedicated and passionate Chefs to join their growing kitchen team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and customer preferences.

  • Ensure all food is served at the appropriate temperature and presented attractively.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times.

  • Monitor stock levels and inform the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager when supplies need to be replenished.

  • Contribute ideas for new dishes or daily specials, supporting menu development.

  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely, and efficient service.

  • Inspect the quality of ingredients and ensure correct storage, labeling, and rotation practices.

  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff or apprentices as needed.

  • Follow portion control standards to reduce waste and support cost management efforts.

  • Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.

  • Strong understanding of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and safety procedures.

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.

  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Culinary qualifications are a plus but not essential if supported by relevant experience.
