Software Developer (JavaScript, Python)

We currently have a vacancy for a Software Developer (JavaScript, Python), fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Vienna, Austria. The work will be carried out either on the companys premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated and closely cooperate with a major clients IT team, on-site.

Your tasks:

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers, to further improve existing products while also prototyping new solutions;
• Utilize expertise in front-end-development (e.g. Vue.js, React.js) and user experience design (UX);
• Use Python to process and explore data of different types and integrate AI/ML components;
• Leverage your experience in backend-development (e.g. Node.js) and common database technologies (e.g. SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch);
• Participate in code reviews, bug tracking, and other quality assurance activities to ensure that software meets high standards of quality and reliability;
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of software development, AI/ML and Generative AI, and share that knowledge with the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and relevant IT experience of at least 5 years;
• 3+ years of experience in front-end-development (e.g. JavaScript, Vue.js, React.js) and in Python programming;
• Knowledge in backend development with Node.js and common database technologies (e.g. SQL Server, Elasticsearch, MongoDB);
• Experience with software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures;
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices;
• Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning;
• Excellent command of the English language.
